Calblanque National Park & Beach in Costa Cálida

The Regional Park of Calblanque is located at the eastern end of our coastline, between Cabo de Palos and Portman.

This enclave is characterized by the great diversity of environments that converge in it, with pine forests of Carrasco pine, bushes, rambles, sand, dunes, paleodunas, coves and cliffs, as well as an endoergic basin in which the Salinas del Rasall.

The Wetlands of the Salinas de Rasall or Calblanque is located in the southern part of the lagoon and belongs to the park of Calblanque, Mount of the Ashes and Peña del Águila; The other part of the slopes belong to the basin of the Mediterranean Sea.

This area presents a great ecological and environmental diversity: it has dune systems, sandstones, salt marshes, salt ponds, coves and cliffs. In the park and its vicinity mining operations have been carried out since Roman times.
